Tamara graduated Magna Cum Laude from NOVA’s PTA program in May 2023, passed her board exams and was granted License in Virginia in July 2023. She is currently serving as PTA Caucus Alternate Representative for APTA Virginia. Tamara has served as her school class president as well as the student government association co-president, and as the Virginia PTA student rep in 2022 to 2023. Recipient of the prestigious SEAL Award and student activist on MEC campus, she brought HIV testing to the student population, initiated a MEC Kindness garden, and participated in leadership workshops and seminars as well as helped to run numerous student life activities. She’s passionate about making physical therapy available to underserved populations and is especially interested in TMD, lymphedema, and pelvic floor physical therapy. Tamara believes in high-quality 1-on-1 time with a patient, with an emphasis on manual therapy as well as guiding and educating in order to empower patients to improve their health and quality of life. Working with physical therapists to treat her own disability, Tamara was exposed to and greatly helped by a variety of manual techniques and modalities, making physical therapy a logical choice for her return to professional work.
“I am so excited to be joining the Dynamics Physical Therapy team! From my perspective, we need to help people understand what a positive effect physical therapy can have on their health and quality of life.”
Tamara works in our Heritage Village Plaza office Monday through Friday.
